N. Korea Aims to Develop Tourism

The head of North Korea’s National Tourism Administration said Wednesday that his country is deeply interested in developing its tourism business.

Marking World Tourism Day, tourism administration chief Kim Do Jun said that major sites in North Korea are becoming tourist attractions, including Pyongyang, Gaesong, Mount Baekdu and Mount Geumgang.

He added that North Korea has held tourism workshops and exchanges with countries such as Singapore and Malaysia in close cooperation with the World Tourism Organization and other international bodies.
