Inter-Korean Trade Grows 12%

A report by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy shows that inter-Korean trade between January and August this year increased 12 percent from the same period last year.

In the first eight months of the year, trade between South and North Korea has posted seven-hundred-80 million dollars.

Commercial trade accounted for five-hundred-90 million dollars, up 35 percent year-on-year.

The amount includes trade in the North's Gaesong Industrial Complex, which recorded one-hundred-80 million dollars.
