Kim Jong-il Calls Diplomats Home From Abroad

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has informed North Korean diplomats abroad that the North now has to resolve issues on its own, as he claims the world has turned its back on them.

The Japanese daily Tokyo Shimbun reported that Kim summoned the diplomats to Pyongyang soon after the United Nations adopted a resolution denouncing Pyongyang’s missile tests in July.

The report said Kim criticized China and Russia for agreeing to the U.N.'s resolution against the North, as well as South Korea for suspending fertilizer and food aid in response to Pyongyang’s missile test-firings.

Kim told the diplomats that Korea, China and Russia could not be trusted.

The daily projected that North Korea may go ahead with a nuclear test at the risk of international isolation if Kim gives the order.
