Many Cancel Mt. Geumgang Tours

In the wake of North Korea’s nuclear test, many are canceling trips to Mount Geumgang.

The South Korean organizer of tours to the North Korean mountain resort Hyundai Asan said that of some 12-hundred-60 people who signed up for the tour on Tuesday, about one-third have canceled. The usual cancellation rate is around five percent.

Of the three-hundred-95 cancellations some two-hundred-50 were from tourist groups.

Hyundai Asan said that over 11-hundred South Korean tourists are currently at the resort and that tours would continue as usual.
