U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to Japan, South Korea, and China next week to discuss a concerted response to North Korea's reported nuclear test.

The US State Department announced Friday that Rice will visit Tokyo, Seoul, and Beijing from Oct. 17 to 22 in order to have a "wider conversation" with countries in the region about the current situation.
