Companies operating at the Gaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea will hold an emergency meeting there Friday.

South Korean watchmaker Romanson will host the two-day meeting at its factory joined by some 30 companies, including those who had planned to move into the complex.

Romanson’s CEO Kim Ki-moon, who chairs the main business association at Gaesong, said that the group decided to meet there to show their resolve to continue operations.

He added that executives will stay overnight in Gaesong with the South Korean workers to reassure families worried about their safety in the North.
