Domestic Aid Group Sends Coal to Gaesong

A domestic group providing coal fuel to needy people sent 50-thousand briquets to North Korea's border city of Gaesong on Friday via overland route.

The briquets carried in eight 25-ton trucks accompanied by 24 staff members will be used for public buildings and home heating.

The group, which normally serves needy people in the South, delivered briquets to Goseong in South Korea's Gangwon Province last Thursday. It will send 50-thousand tons more each to Goseong and Gaesong next week.
