Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Jeon Yun-churl said Friday that he will consider examining the way the government has conducted inter-Korean economic cooperation projects.

Jeon made the remark during a National Assembly hearing in reply to an opposition lawmaker’s call for scrutiny into why the Inter-Korea Cooperation Fund had been exhausted and whether government assistance to the North was made properly.

Jeon said his audit agency could not previously examine the South-North Korean economic cooperation projects due to sensitivity about inter-Korean relations.
