North Korea has protested the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s decision to include the North Korean nuclear issue in its annual report.

Speaking at the U.N. General Assembly, a first secretary at the North's U.N. mission said that the nuclear standoff's inclusion in the report was unfair since North Korea was not a member of either the IAEA or the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

Criticizing the nuclear watchdog for what he termed its "lopsided view," the North Korean diplomat claimed that the nuclear issue was a bilateral matter between Pyongyang and Washington since it stemmed from hostile U.S. policy toward the North.
