Anti-smoking groups in the United States are criticizing the Bush Administration for pressuring the South Korean government to ease restrictions on cigarette imports.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the groups are planning to lobby Congress in a bid to block it from granting fast-track authority to the president.
The groups have been denouncing the Bush administration for taking a favorable stance toward cigarette manufacturers since taking office.
One of the groups; Essential Action, said that U.S. cigarette exporters are weakening in their crusade against smoking.
