Voice of America says North Korea is actively working to improve its business environment in order to attract foreign investment.

The U.S. government-funded broadcaster quoted on Thursday a British business consultant who said that his clients responded very positively after learning about the actual investment environment in the North.

The consultant said that North Korean authorities provide various benefits to foreign companies such as tax breaks and protection of investment and profits.

Other European businessmen blamed the foreign media for spreading negative images of the North and misleading foreign investors to believe it is hard to do business there.
