Korean Takes Gold at ISU Figure Skating Championship

Korean figure skater Kim Yu-na won a gold medal at the International Skating Union Grand Prix figure skating series in Paris on Saturday. This is her first senior title.

The 16-year-old figure skater took the gold with a total score of 184.54, beating Japan's Miki Ando by ten points.

With the victory, she will likely compete in the Grand Prix final where the top six skaters will vie for the number one spot.

Kim’s performance surprised the international figure skating circle as she grabbed the top spot in the world within just two weeks of her senior figure skating debut.
