A Japanese daily says the Macau-based bank Banco Delta Asia has notified the U.S. Treasury Department of its plan to continue freezing North Korean assets.

The Asahi Shimbun says the bank's legal counsel presented to the department in October a document to that effect at the request of the Macanese government.

Macau in the document said it will deal with potential lawsuits in court if North Korean banks fight their frozen assets with the bank.
