The inter-Korean industrial park in the North Korean city of Gaesong seems to be steadily expanding with increases in workers, companies and monthly production.

The Unification Ministry said Friday that the number of North Koreans working at the industrial complex stood at around 10-thousand, up nearly twofold from last year.

The ministry said that the complex produced about nine million dollars' worth of goods last month, a sharp rise over the three million dollars value of goods made during the same period last year.

Monthly exports reached about two-point-four million dollars in November, up 17 times year-on-year.

In addition, the cross-border complex now has 18 companies running factories, compared with ten from last year.
