Despite escalating tensions over textbooks, South Korea and Japan don't want to allow that to disrupt the two-thousand-two World Cup.
Lee Yeon-taek, co-chairman of the Korea World Cup Organization Committee, said South Korea will work closely with Japan as a co-host to make the World Cup a success as they had earlier promised.
He made the remarks after returning from a FIFA general conference held in Argentina.
