The inter-Korean joint venture Gaesong Industrial Complex has opened a gate for expedited service at North Korea’s customs, immigration and quarantine post.

The industrial park's managing committee said Friday that the exclusive gate will serve executives of companies conducting business at the complex, domestic and foreign buyers and committee officials. The gate will expedite the entrance of V.I.P.'s to the North Korean side since they won't need to undergo complex baggage inspection procedures.

North Korea agreed to set up the gate at the management committee's request. The committee expects the expedited service to help create a more investment-friendly environment.
