Italian pro soccer club AS Roma has again expressed intent to scout Lee Young-pyo, currently with the English Premier team Tottenham Hotspur, following its earlier request in August.

British soccer portal tribalfootball.com said Friday that AS Roma said it wants Tottenham's response within 24 hours.

The Italian club conveyed its desire to acquire the Korean player by "lease" but did not mention concrete terms.

Lee was set to move to AS Roma in August but had a change of heart at the last minute.

Lee's agent says it's hard to understand why the Italian team suddenly proposed to borrow Lee instead of seeking a permanent transfer, adding that a lease contract is not an option.
