President Kim Dae-jung has sent a message of encouragement to Kim Un-yong, who is running for the presidency of the International Olympic Committee.
The president said he hopes Kim will do his best to be elected I-O-C president.
The I-O-C will elects its new president next Monday in Moscow. Experts count Kim as a strong candidate along with Belgian Jacque Rogge.
