The United Nations Command in South Korea said it will return the body of a North Korean soldier to North Korea Monday at the truce village of Panmunjom.
The uniformed body, presumed to be an officer, was found in the border city of Yonchon in central Kyonggi Province last Thursday.
Officials suspect the body was washed away in a swollen river after heavy downpour earlier this month.
