Three Korean soccer league players including Pohang Steelers defender Cho Sung-hwan will likely play in Romania’s pro soccer league.

Cho’s agent AI Sports said Friday that the former national soccer team member signed a preliminary contract with Romania’s FC Arges to join the club.

Cho will leave for Romania on Saturday for a physical examination. If he passes the physical, he is expected to close the deal and join team training.

Jeju United FC striker Kim Gil-sik and Suwon Samsung Bluewings FC striker Kim Sang-ki will also play in the Romanian pro soccer league for two-and-a-half years.

The trio will become the first Korean soccer players to join Romanian clubs.
