KOC Signs Sports Agreement with Sweden

The Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) and the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC) have agreed to hold summer and winter friendly matches, joint training activities and exchange coaches, sports researchers and judges.

KOC Chairman Kim Jung-gil, his Swedish counterpart Stefan Lindeberg and Secretary General of the Association of National Olympic Committees Gunilla Lindberg signed the agreement on Thursday.

Kim also proposed that the Swedish Olympic team could train in Korea in preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Meanwhile, at the International Archery Federation in Lausanne, Switzerland, Kim pledged cooperation for the successful 2009 Archery World Cup in Ulsan.

Kim is visiting Europe to promote the bid of Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province as host of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
