NK Nuke Envoy Content with Consultations

North Korea’s top nuclear envoy says he is content with the results of consultations with his South Korean, U.S, Chinese and Russian counterparts on implementing the September 19th joint statement.

Kim Kye-kwan made the statement during an interview with China’s Xinhua News Agency shortly after arriving in Pyongyang from a trip to Beijing.

The North's chief delegate to the six-way nuclear talks said the next round of discussions will focus on ways to implement the joint accord which was issued at the fourth round of negotiations back in 2005.

Kim said he and his counterparts from the four countries had reached agreements on various issues, adding that all parties to the nuclear talks want the negotiations to resume at the earliest date possible.

Kim said host China will finalize a date for the talks after consultations with participating nations.
