The cumulative production output by South Korean firms operating at the inter-Korean Gaesong Industrial Complex has topped one-hundred million dollars.

The industrial park’s management committee said Friday that the companies produced goods worth 12 million dollars in January, bringing cumulative totals to the one-hundred-million-dollar mark.

The industrial park's cumulative production output jumped to 89 million dollars late last year from 15 million dollars in 2005 and 74 million dollars in 2006.

Output has been surging as the number of companies operating at the site has grown and production has stabilized.

Some 21 companies currently run plants in the industrial complex located in the North Korean city. Another four or five businesses will soon complete plant construction there.
