Korean Air ranks second in cargo transportation

According to statistics released by the International Air Transport Association Monday, Korean Air ranked second in the world in cargo transportation for the fifth consecutive year.
International Air Transport Association (IATA) said Monday... Korean Air registered 6,357 million ton.km in regular air cargo transportation last year, only next to the 7,096 million ton.km registered by Lufthansa of Germany.
Ton.km represents the standard basis for comparing cargo transportation performance for airlines.
In passenger transportation, the Korean airliner ranked 14th with 36.03 million people.km.
