According to the Ministry of Science and Technology Monday that South Korea and the Ukraine Monday signed a cooperation pact in respect to atomic power generation, nuclear safety, and production of isotopes.
The pact was signed by Minister of Science and Technology Kim Young-hwan , now visiting Ukraine, and the chairman of the Ukraine's Atomic Energy Bureau, Rashtovich Nigmatulin.
The pact highlights areas of cooperation for peaceful use of atomic energy and points the two countries are required to abide by to help forestall proliferation of nuclear materials arising from atomic energy cooperation.
