A Seoul-based international relief organization will send thermal underwear and flour to North Koreans suffering the aftereffects of flooding in South Pyeongan Province.

An official from the organization, Join Together Society, said that a ship carrying ten-thousand sets of underwear and 50 tons of flour will leave Incheon Thursday for the North Korean port of Nampo.

The official added that the province’s Sinyang area suffered much damage from torrential rains last summer.

The nongovernmental organization decided to send the aid after it learned that flood victims were still experiencing shortages of basic supplies while visiting North Korea last month.
