The United Nations Human Rights Commission announced the results of its probe into the human right situation in North Korea, and adopted points of recommendation directed to better the human rights condition in the North.
The commission released the report during a press conference at the UN headquarters in Europe, located in Geneva and called for the abrogation of the death penalty and open execution, which are directly opposed to the international convention.
The commission also adopted a 10-point recommendation demanding the North to allow independent international inspections into prison cells, and detention and labor camps in North Korea.
