SK, NK Agree on Reunions of Separated Families

South and North Korea have agreed to hold video reunions of separated families this month and face-to-face reunions in May.

At the Cabinet-level meeting in Pyongyang, the two Koreas also agreed to immediately resume construction of a reunion center at North Korea's Mount Geumgang, which was halted following that country's missile tests last July.

The two sides will issue a joint press release after the conclusion of the 20th inter-Korean ministerial talks on Friday.

Regarding the full reopening of inter-Korean railroads, neither side has confirmed any agreement on the issue. But it is highly likely that they have agreed to conduct trial runs.

Delegations from the two Koreas have also agreed to hold dialogue on a regular basis and work toward normalization of inter-Korean ties.
