North Korea will begin its month-long Arirang Festival on April 15th, to coincide with what would have been the 95th birthday of the late leader Kim Il-sung.
A Swedish tourist agency, Koreakonsult, advertised on its Web site that the mass game event will be held in Pyongyang from April 15th to May 15th and from August 15th and October 15th this year.
It added that, accordingly, all nationalities including Americans will be able to visit the traditionally reclusive country.
The tourist agency also said that various levels of seating were available ranging from 50 to 300 euros.
In 2006, North Korea canceled the annual festival after suffering severe damage from torrential rains last summer. The first Arirang Festival was in 2002.
"Mass game" events are popular in communist countries where participants, sometimes numbering in the thousands, perform synchronized gymnastics routines. Audience members holding colored cards often join in, forming patterns or slogans when they hold their cards up as a group.
