'Inter-Korean Summit Talk Possible After April'

Former Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan says North Korea did not disagree to discussing an inter-Korean summit after the 60-day deadline for its initial nuclear dismantlement measures in mid-April.

Lee spoke Saturday to reporters in China after arriving in Beijing following his four-day visit to North Korea.

He said the summit was not a key agenda during his trip since his was visiting North Korea as a lawmaker and not a special envoy.

Lee said he did not discuss holding a summit in detail, but that the matter and the six-way nuclear process should go side by side.

On the six-way nuclear agreement, he said he certainly felt the North's intent to implement the accord, and that detailed trust-building action between North Korea and the U.S. is expected next month, calling the trust issue the most important in their bilateral ties.
