KOWOC plans events to mark World Cup D-300

Officials for the Korean Organizing Committee for the World Cup said Wednesday that D-300, which is 300 days until the opening of the 2002 World Cup finals, will be recognized by the committee through events and a national publicity campaign on Saturday.
Starting Friday, official posters for the World Cup finals will be unveiled and distributed to schools, local governments, overseas missions, restaurants, and tourism offices.
Public briefing sessions on game preparations and special performances are planned for Saturday, followed by a bicycle tour by over 700 college students from Taejon to Seoul on Monday.
Meanwhile, a second round of ticket sales for the 2002 FIFA World Cup games will begin September 17th on a first come, first serve basis.
A total of 390,000 tickets will be available, including 120,000 tickets left over from the first sale.
