A Japanese daily says that the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il was spotted in Macao near the Banco Delta Asia bank on Sunday night. On Monday, the U.S. announced the release of all North Korean assets frozen at the BDA.

The Sankei Shimbun reported that Kim Jong-nam was spotted about 30 meters from the bank on the crowded Leal Senado Square with a woman, presumed to be his wife, and children. They did not appear to be accompanied by security guards.

When a reporter asked if he was Kim Jong-nam, he smiled and accepted a photo shoot saying "flash, flash." The photo appeared on the paper's front page.

But when the camera turned to the woman, Kim reportedly blocked the lens and left.
