The UN delegates added the wording on the significance of history textbooks for the rough text for the World Conference Against Racism. Two weeks of talks to negotiate draft talks for adoption at the conference in Durban, South Africa later this month ended late Friday.
Sources said that the action plan of the conference will include the phrase that history textbooks and other materials of education on human rights should improve.
Article 164 of the action plan stipulates that they call for all the necessary judicial and administrative measures to promote the correct study and understanding of the recent history on racism and racial discrimination.
