Gov’t Proposes Inter-Korean Military Talks

The government has proposed working-level military talks with North Korea to prepare for test runs of cross-border railways slated to begin May 17th.

The Defense Ministry said Monday that it proposed to hold the talks on Thursday at the House of Peace on the southern side of the truce village of Panmunjeom.

The ministry said that the two sides would discuss military security assurances for the agreed test runs.
