North Korea's distilled liquor Pyongyang soju will soon be available in the U.S.

A North Korean trade company based in the U.S. said the first shipment was sent out April 9th from the North's Nampo port after the U.S. finalized clearance processing for the alcoholic beverage.

The company said the imported liqour is expected to hit U.S. shelves in June after the shipment arrives in May.

North Korean soju is already sold in China and Japan and is made from white rice, corn, glutinous rice and natural mineral water from 170 meters underground.
