A group of South Korean journalists will visit Pyongyang Saturday to discuss inter-Korean exchanges of reporters.

The journalists are members of a South Korean committee to promote inter-Korean peace and reconciliation in the spirit of the June 15th, 2000 Joint Declaration that was issued during the historic South-North summit seven years ago.

The nine-member delegation led by Chung Il-yong, who heads the Seoul-based Journalists Association of Korea, will meet with North Korean representatives to discuss another visit to the North by South Korean journalists next month.

During their four-day tour, the delegation also plans to visit the North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency and the Rodong Sinmun daily to seek cooperation and exchanges.
