1st Group Family Reunions End Friday

The 15th round of inter-Korean family reunions on Friday ended a three-day session for the first group of families at North Korea's Mount Geumgang resort.

Ninety-nine family members from South Korea including those who had relatives as prisoners of war or abductees in the North bid a tearful farewell to their long-lost kin.

The eldest member in the South Korean delegation, 98-year-old Go Myun-chul met his children from the North, who all broke down in tears.

The families exchanged addresses, and expressed hope for national unification so that they could meet again.
