Koreas Agree on Rail Test Run Details

The two Koreas have agreed on details for the inter-Korean railway test runs slated for Thursday.

During talks Sunday in the North Korean border city of Gaesong, the two sides agreed on the procedure and method for the test runs and on a celebratory event.

They also exchanged the list of people to board the train. Seoul has made a list of 200 passengers, 100 each for the Donghae and Gyeongui lines.

The two sides agreed at their military talks last week that the test runs will cover a 27-kilometer section from Munsan to Gaesong on the Gyeonggi line and 25-and-a-half kilometers from Mount Geumgang to Jejin stations on the Donghae line.

Two trains on each rail will leave Munsan and Geumgang at the same time at 11:30 a.m Thursday and will pass the military demarcation line around 12:20 p.m.
