Separated Families Bid Farewell at Mt. Geumgang

Hundreds of North and South Koreans bid farewell to their long-lost kin Monday as they wrapped up the latest round of tearful family reunions at the North’s Mount Geumgang resort.

Some 470 South Koreans said their good-bye to the North Korean relatives they had been separated from, with hopes of meeting again in the future.

Two groups of South Koreans separated from their family members in the North crossed over the heavily fortified demilitarized zone from last Wednesday for the most recent reunions, the 15th of their kind.
