The Korea Sports Association for the Disabled (KOSAD) will seek active inter-Korean sports exchanges of disabled athletes.

The association's president Jang Hyang-sook said Tuesday during a briefing on her recent visit to North Korea that her organization will actively support efforts to establish an organization for disabled athletes in North Korea. She also pledged support for joint participation in international sports events.

The Uri Party lawmaker added that her organization has invited North Korean officials to the National Sports Games for the Disabled slated for September in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province.

In addition, the association has asked Pyongyang to send an observer to the general conference of the International Paralympic Committee set to open November 15th in Seoul.
