Written: 2001-08-16 00:00:00Updated: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Samsung Electronics has signed a deal to exclusively supply D-RAM chips used in mobile phones to Nokia, the world's top handset maker.
A spokesman for Samsung Electronics said Nokia asked Samsung to make D-RAM chips suitable for its advanced mobile phones.
He did not reveal how much the deal is worth.
Low-capacity S-RAM chips have so far been used in most mobile phones, but handset makers are increasingly choosing to adopt D-RAM chips, which allow for higher memory capacity.
