NK Media Silent on Test Run

Inter-Korean railway tests runs were conducted Thursday morning as scheduled, but North Korean media had not reported the story as of noon the same day.

The North Korean delegation led by Chief Cabinet Councilor Kwon Ho-ung came to South Korea's Munsan Station for the test run and a prior event, but Pyongyang's Korean Central News Agency and other media outlets controlled by the North have not reported on the test runs.

As Pyongyang customarily does not provide live coverage of inter-Korean events, reports are expected to come out around late evening Thursday.

North Korea has been sensitive on media coverage for the test run, insisting that it alone would shoot footage of the Gyeongui Line train's arrival at the Gaesong Station and then provide it to South Korea.
