A Russian group of broadcasters, celebrities and tourists is visiting the southern port city of Busan.

The 33-member Korean Peninsula Motor Tour Group includes representatives of Russia’s national broadcaster NTV and the far eastern region’s PTR TV, as well as various dailies, weekly and auto and tourist magazines.

The Russian tourists drove around Busan visiting Buddhist temples, parks and a city fish market in 12 Kia Motors’ CEED sedans. The South Korean automaker provided the new cars for the tour.

The group had arrived in Seoul on Monday and drove down the west coast to Mount Jirisan before reaching Busan Wednesday night.

A Busan city official pointed out that the visitors paid about 23-hundred dollars each for the tour and that their journey would be aired on television across Russia and covered in newspapers and magazines. The official said it would be a great opportunity to introduce Busan to the Russian people.
