North Korea and the World Food Program have agreed to allow the WFP delegates to oversee the food distribution process in North Korea.
WFP secretary general Catherine Bertini, who has returned from her visit to North Korea for three days, told reporters in Beijing that WFP has agreed to undertake surveys on the nutritional conditions of the North Korean citizens next Spring.
Sources in Beijing said the regions where the WFP conduct surveys would be decided not by North Korean authorities but by the WFP's own choice.
