Trade between North Korea and China has continued to grow even after Pyongyang's nuclear test last October.

The Unification Ministry and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Seoul say North Korea exported 130 million dollars' worth of goods to China in the first quarter of 2007, up 45 percent year-on-year. Its trade deficit, meanwhile, dropped nearly 40 percent to 74 million dollars.

Mineral fuel such as coal accounted for 45 million dollars' worth of total shipments to China, followed by 33 million dollars in minerals and 12 million in apparel.
