The government has finalized its list of 293 delegates who will go to Pyongyang Friday for an inter-Korean festival to commemorate the June 2000 joint declaration.
The list includes former Unification Minister Jeong Se-hyun, senior monk Jigwan of the Jogye Buddhist order and marathoner Hwang Young-jo, who heads the marathon team at the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation.
Seoul National University professor emeritus Baek Nak-cheong will head the delegation.
Also included are senior official Kwon Oh-seong of the National Council of Churches in Korea, Korean People's Artists Federation Chairman Kim Yong-tae, the Journalists Association of Korea Chairman Chung Il-yong and chairman Baek Seung-heon of Minbyun-Laywers for a Democratic Society.
Twelve lawmakers will be going including the Uri Party's Kim Hee-sun, the Grand National Party's Park Kye-dong and Kim Ki Soo of the Democratic Labor Party.
The delegation will arrive in Pyongyang Thursday, the day before the festival, and return Sunday.
