On the second day of the inter-Korean festival marking the seventh anniversary of the historic joint declaration of June 15th, 2000, the two Koreas held celebrations and issued a proclamation on Korean unity.

The declaration adopted during the festival held at the People's Cultural Palace in Pyongyang called for Korean solidarity based on patriotism and independence.

The festival that opened Thursday in the North Korean capital will continue through Sunday.
