Pro-NK Paper: Progress to Follow IAEA Visit to NK

The Choson Sinbo, a pro-Pyongyang newspaper for Koreans in Japan, says that once International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors visit North Korea next week, the nuclear dismantlement process will pick up speed.

The paper made the prediction Thursday, saying that the North extended an invitation to IAEA officials last Saturday.

It also noted the New York Federal Reserve Bank's role in resolving the transfer dispute involving North Korean funds at a Macao bank, suggesting that continued trust building between Washington and Pyongyang could speed implementation of the six-way nuclear agreement.

The report comes as North Korea has yet to comment on the resolved money transfer issue.
