Ex-PM Proposes Inter-Korean, Four-way Summits

Presidential hopeful Lee Hae-chan has underscored the need to hold a second inter-Korean summit and a four-way summit involving the two Koreas, the U.S. and China by August.

At a seminar on inter-Korean cooperation, he suggested that leaders of the four countries declare that they will convert the current armistice into a permanent peace arrangement for the Korean Peninsula. He suggested that such a declaration occur in August at the truce village of Panmunjeom.
