KBS to Broadcast the Evening News in HD

The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) will launch high-definition (HD) digital broadcasting next month for its nine o’clock news program.
KBS, the first terrestrial broadcaster to air the news in HD, said Tuesday that it made the decision to deliver high-quality, high-definition images in its evening news show.
The leading public broadcaster plans to produce more than half of the one-hour evening news program in the HD format starting next month, with the goal of producing all newscasts in the format by 2009.
